Historic Charm

Steeped in history dating back to the original Penn Grant of 1718, the property now offers modern elegance in a lush outdoor setting with endless natural beauty. Step back in time as you drive down the sweeping entrance past The Manor House.

This stone estate, built in 1766, is one of many picture perfect settings on the pristine grounds ideal for photographs. The garden paths, stately tree lines, and beautiful vistas make this the perfect wedding site.

The Manor tent complex will comfortably accommodate up to 200 of your guests, with French doors, and floor to ceiling windows for amazing sunset views. Enjoy cocktails overlooking the lush, rolling 18th green and fairway in the shadow of the Silo Bar.

Preserving the feel of the original farm is important to us; the granite and stone features of the Manor’s Silo Bar, which is built into the original grain storage silo, typifies this. This area is also one of the ideal locations for on-site ceremonies. Exchange your vows under the majestic pines or next to the garden pergola with many options showcasing the property’s endless natural beauty.

FAQ’S

What does my venue coordinator do for me?

A: Our coordinator at The Manor at Makefield Highlands, walks you through our process & sets up any on-site tours & meetings for you. They will schedule your final walk through with the caterer & process all your rentals for your event. Any day-of coordination will go through your caterer or planner that you have booked.

Am I able to use my own caterer at the Manor at Makefield's?

A: Unfortunately, no but The Manor at Makefield’s has exclusive catering on-site to make your day go even smoother than you thought possible.  Their menu selections have different styles of food & services.  Please call for more details!

What is included in your packages?

A: The Manor at Makefield’s, with exclusive catering, offers customized packages just for you. They include the tent (including the venue tent, full lighting package, catering tent, side walls and double door assemblies), tables for different uses, white folding chairs, dance floor, bar area, patio furniture with fire pit, fans or heaters dependent on weather & ceremony chairs. We even get to have a golf cart on-site day-of your event!

How many hours does my event run for?

A: In your packages, you get five hours for your event, two hours prior for event prep & one hour after to say goodbye collect your belongings. So it total eight hours day-of. You can add on hours at an additional charge. Your event needs to end by 10pm per the Makefield Township outdoor events rules & regulations.

Also if there’s nothing booked the day before, you get an hour or two for your rehearsal to be run by your planner or officiant.  Please schedule with your venue coordinator.

Who handles any additional rentals that may be needed for my wedding or event?

A: Open Aire Affairs is the exclusive rental company any additional rentals you may need above what your package provides would come through Open Aire Affairs. This could mean china, glassware and flatware, alternate shaped tables, upgraded chairs, tent climate control, etc. The options are vast and we look forward to the opportunity to discuss your vision with you.

Can alcohol be served during my event?

A: Yes, alcohol may be served at The Manor at Makefield’s. Our bartenders & alcohol packages fully encompass everything for your event. We have different packages for open bar to just beer & wine.  Please email us for details!

Do you only host weddings at The Manor at Makefield's?

A: No– The Manor at Makefield’s hosts Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, birthday celebrations, business & corporate functions, meetings, team building events & much, much more. We have the tented area to rent as well as the clubhouse for smaller events. Please email us for special pricing!

Is your Venue Handicap accessible?

A: Our venue has access or walkways available for wheelchairs & motor operated chairs. Our reception tent has easy access as well as golf cart can pick up your guests from the parking lot to the reception tent.

I attended a wedding here in May, I had no idea that the golf club had a separate location for weddings. The wedding was absolutely beautiful. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the ambiance was breath taking! All the pictures we were taking at the wedding looked great, the natural backdrop that the course provided was perfect. I would definitely recommend this venue for any of my friends’ children.
